Market Days in Good Hart....

My Parents live on the shores of beautiful Lake Michigan in the tiny town of Good Hart. The General Store hosts Market Days on the 1st and 3rd Saturdays in the summer months. We were going north for the 4th of July, so we took a load of small furniture and some signs.
I love Northern Michigan and we had such a fun day.

Here are some of my hand painted Lake signs.
Sold quite a few of my Flag centerpieces, too!

We even had a couple of very talented musicians to entertain us for the afternoon.
My lovely daughter Emma was such a big help to me that day!

For the love of buffets....

Who deosn't love a great buffet?

Seriously, they are my best sellers.

Such a versatile piece....

We found this one

and a friend snatched up

before I had time to paint it.

So she got to chose her finish.

She is using it for all of her

Grandkids toys and games.

We used a medium oak on the top.

Painted the body a cottage white and

then used stain and ragged it off

to make the details pop.

There are no raised moldings on this

piece, so I was happy that the stained

areas made the details come alive.
