Green has always been my favorite color!

Hello all! It has been such a long time

since I have updated my blog.

Sometimes real life just slows down my blog time.

Anyway, we recently did our largest furniture show

of the year at the Applebutter Fest in the nearby

canal village of Grand Rapids, Ohio.

We had an amazing time and an awesome sale,

thank you to all who came out and supported us!

The hands down favorite pieces at the sale this year

were painted green! They were also our favorite!
This is a before photo of

the dry sink, we also had a cool

Gentleman's dresser in a matching set.

This is the after of the dry sink at the sale...
After of the dry sink and hat box
that tops the Gentleman's dresser...
I love all the Victorian details on these pieces.

We painted all of the set in a lovely green,
distressed them, rubbed down with a dark walnut stain to match the top,
and painted the detailed hardware with oil rubbed bronze.
I can't tell you how much I loved this finish piece!
There is Rebekah taking time to photograph all of the
furniture at the sale for me!
I did some research on Gentleman's dressers
and found out they were from the Victorian era
and the small stand on top was used to store
hats and bonnets, with a drawer for gloves.
I would love to find another Gentleman's
dresser to keep for myself.
How about any of you,
have you ever run across
a Gentleman's dresser?
A lovely couple bought the matching
set to use in a farmhouse
they are restoring and commissioned me
to paint a small table to match.
I think the set will be just

right for their new old home.
Blessings~
